Waivers Issued For Expiring CDL Licenses The Department of Transportation has issued a waiver for CDL drivers whose licenses and medical examinations are expiring due to COVID-19 until September 30, 2020. This is because of difficulties renewing as a result of office closures. The waiver also extends to Mexican CDL holders driving on U.S. roadways.
