National Watermelon Queen Program

Congratulations to twenty-year-old Jules Singley, daughter of Allen and Tara Singley, of Wicksburg, AL, who was crowned the 2024 National Watermelon Queen during our 109th annual National Watermelon Association's convention in February, which was held in Scottsdale, AZ. Jules represented the Gulf Coast Watermelon Association this past year as their 2023 Queen. From supermarket promotions to Captiol Hill, she has been a great advocate for the industry, and we are lucky to have her representing us this year.
Jules will travel throughout the United States and possibly foreign markets promoting the Watermelon industry making guest appearances. She will give tips on the selection of a watermelon in addition to the nutritional and economic value of the product. She may be sponsored anywhere watermelon is featured.
Queen Tour
The National Watermelon Queen Tour is part of the overall promotional effort of the National Watermelon Associati on to increase sales.
The National Watermelon Queen is selected annually. The competition takes place in conjunction with the annual National Watermelon Association’s convention.
She spends the year traveling to cities all over the nation, and often into Canada, talking to people in supermarkets, at fairs and festivals, telling everyone about the nutritional benefits, and economical values of watermelon. The Queen is available for media appearances, in store promotions, fairs, festivals or functions where watermelon is featured.
